“I Just Want to Lose a Bit of Belly Fat”

Are you carrying that extra bit of weight in your mid-section? Frustrated when looking in the mirror, only to see a person you do not recognize?

I know that feeling; it sucks.

Your reflection tells you one thing, “Your goals are impossible; stop wasting your time!”

So your next move is to find answers online, but the millions of search results overwhelm you and bring even more confusion. It ends up being just you, your reflection, and a mindset full of doubt. Do you give up? I don’t think you should… just continue reading.

So What’s Stopping You?

I want you to start by asking yourself this: “How can I reduce fat when my own mentality is restricting me from my max potential?” A huge mistake people make when attempting to lose fat is skipping all the necessary structured steps towards long lasting results. You start out with simple exercise, eating a lot of vegetables, or even begin to follow one of those “awesome” diets you hear everyone talking about online.

The problem is, although your intentions are really good, you keep falling into the same mistakes over and over again. While a random diet and a bit of exercise here and there might make a difference in the short term, it won’t stick. You need structure and consistency.

Take another look in the mirror, and ask yourself:

What are the bad habits holding me back from reaching my goals?”

This is a question you NEED to ask. As the habits continue, your fat loss journey becomes more strenuous, causing a lack of confidence, which unnecessarily ups the difficulty when reaching for your goals. So, in order to combat these annoyances in your life, I highly suggest you write down your bad habits, and start breaking them TODAY. Remember, it’s not a race… slow and steady will bring promising consistency! Once you understand the basics, you’ll have the power to make real progress, and THAT is when change is no longer a fear, but an addiction!

The One Step You Can’t Miss

As you may already be aware, nutrition is one of the most important components to achieving any fitness goal. So, if you’re just starting out, consume clean, healthy foods, without going overboard with your calories. You don’t need to eat salads everyday, but depending on what your diet is like now, you can start off by making small changes, substituting in more nutritious options as time goes on. I will help you do just that in just a moment, but again, you need a plan and realistic goals to follow. Establish a solid foundation and start from there.

The Simple Science Behind Weight Loss…

Once you begin eating healthier, the next thing you must focus on is being in a caloric deficit. This means eating less calories than the amount your body burns throughout the entire day. Find out what your caloric maintenance is and reduce that amount by about 500 calories. This will ensure that you are losing fat at a safe and consistent level. Oh, and remember… don’t panic! Your nutrition doesn’t have to be perfect 100% of the time. As long as the good outweighs the bad, you WILL make progress. You can still enjoy your favorite snack or dessert, just keep the proportions sensible. If you’re unsure of how much you need to eat, stay with me. I’ve got you covered.
